Information we collect
- Analytics data (with your consent only). If you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, we collect anonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you found us — through Google Analytics and, when enabled, our self-hosted Matomo analytics. If you decline, these tools set no cookies and we do not track your visit.
- Contact form submissions. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, and we use them only to respond to you.
- Comments and accounts. If the site offers comments or account login (including login via a social provider), we receive the profile information you choose to share (such as name and email) to operate that feature.
We do not collect payment information on this site, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. This site is not directed at children.
How we use information
- To understand which guides and reviews are useful so we can improve the site (analytics, consent-gated).

Security and retention
We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards consistent with the New York SHIELD Act. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by law.

The site is operated from the United States and information is processed in the United States.
